Whole of Government (WhoG) Banking Services

⁠⁠⁠The Australian Capital Territory (Territory) requires a qualified and experienced Service Provider for the provision of transaction banking products and services.

Transaction banking services are a critical element in the effective interaction between the ACT Government and its citizens, suppliers and stakeholders. The Territory’s current transaction banking contract (the Government Banking Services (GBS) Agreement) expires on 30 June 2023. A key priority for the Territory in 2022 is to engage with the market to determine the next generation of transaction banking services.

This notice serves to inform the market of the upcoming Expression of Interest (“EOI”) Process which will be undertaken early in the new year.

The Territory’s key objectives from this EOI process include:

* Identifying capabilities of potential Suppliers in the market to meet the Territory’s current and future banking needs;
* Using the EOI process to reduce the time and cost for interested Service Providers to understand our needs and respond in an efficient and commercially viable way through the EOI process;
* Facilitate the selection of the Territory’s Strategic Banking Services Provider under a non-exclusive arrangement and consider augmentation of Specialist Service providers for elements of its transaction banking needs.
