Tender Description
Tamworth Regional Council is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor for the removal, disposal and replacement of 20 sewer vent shafts within the Tamworth area. Out of the 20 proposed , 1 is 150mm ~12m high, 3 section asbestos type vent shaft Circa 1980, 10 are 150mm ~12m high, 4 section concrete type vent shafts Circa 1930, 6 are 300mm ~4m high galvanised iron type inducts Circa 1970 and 3 are 300mm ~15m high galvanised iron type vent shafts Circa 1970. 9 of the concrete shafts are located in the township of Manilla.
The submissions will only be accepted from Contractors who hold type A/B Licence for asbestos removal work. They should have prior experience, qualified, competent and fully trained personal to undertake such work. The works under this tender should be carried out complying with relevant Australian Standards, Work Cover, EPA or other regulatory Licences, Codes of Practices, and as detailed in the tender specification. The work also involves liaising with property owners, roads authority, and electricity and gas suppliers.
