Corridor of Oaks Landscape Consultancy

⁠⁠⁠Council, through this Request for Tender (RFT) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified landscape architectural company with experience in the design of accessible public spaces to act as a principal consultant and lead a team of specialist consultants in the design and documentation for the upgrade to the Corridor of Oaks and parts of the adjacent Jackson Park.

Overall the works seek to achieve a significant improvement in social and environmental outcomes, as required by the Public Spaces Legacy Program grant conditions.This will require;

• pedestrian accessibility, while protecting the oaks from pedestrian impacts, including the creation of a safe crossing point across Sir Henry Parks Parade
• vehicular accessibility, in constrained spaces with trees, power poles, and nearby residents
• an accessible toilet cubicle, currently envisioned as an addition to the existing toilet and
• general improvements to the landscape

The content of Interpretation of the site for visitors is anticipated undertaken by a separate consultancy, but this consultancy is expected to have input into the form and location of interpretation.
