Council requires work conducted on the Drainage Improvement projects at Music Street, Carmila and Sarchedon Drive, Moranbah. The expected date for practical completion is 30 May 2022.

Council owns a stormwater outlet pipe on Music Street, Carmila that travels through the property of a local resident (Lot 2 RP 604347). It was made known to Council by the resident that there is significant damage to the asset whereby the embankment, outlet structure, and an unknown length of pipe had been eroded away. Works to include:

•Clear and Grub
•Topsoil strip
•Earthworks to embankment
•Removal of existing RCP and headwall
•Install 5m 825MM OD RCP and concrete end structure.
•Rock protection and Gabion Baskets

Additionally, Isaac Regional Council (IRC) is undertaking works to improve drainage on Sarchedon Drive to alleviate ongoing issues with localised flooding and siltation of the roadway during wet weather events, by increasing the capacity of the existing RCBC, along the road. Drainage works to Sarchedon Drive including RCBC installation to driveways; concrete floodway, rock protection and rural entrances is required as follows:

•Removal of in situ culverts and end structures
•Installation of Culvert structures - TMR Std Drawing 1260
•Construction of rock protection at outlets
