Lepperton Hall Demolition

⁠⁠⁠This procurement relates to the demolition of the ex Lepperton Community Hall approved by Council on 9 November 2021.

The hall is located at 533 Richmond Road, Lepperton ("the Site"). Until December 2020 the hall was used by the Lepperton community, but due to the construction of a new school/community hall at the Lepperton School, the Lepperton Community Hall building is now surplus to New Plymouth District Council requirements. The site is being cleared for the land to be developed as a community space. NPDC is looking for an experienced, qualified contractor to demolish the ex Lepperton Hall and clear the site. This includes removing the asbestos from the hall and safely managing the site while at the same time limiting any community nuisance. The demolition requires a suitability qualified contractor to carry the required work

This RFP relates to the demolition of the hall, clearing and reinstatement of the site (where cleared) with top soil to existing ground level to enable the site to be utilised by the Lepperton Community. Because the land will be developed into community space, if reasonably practical, we would like to retain selected trees.
