Over Size Vehicle Driver for 1 Combat Service Support Battalion based from Darwin

Heavy Combination driver is required to perform the following duties:
Operate a Kenworth T909 prime mover with an Eaton Fuller 18 speed gearbox
Tow multi axle semi-trailers, plant trailers, bulk liquids and fuel tankers
Understand and comply with national heavy vehicle regulations
Understand and comply oversize heavy vehicle regulations including State and Territory over-mass permits
Understand and comply with Australian Defence Force manuals and procedures for the operation of vehicles and associated equipment
Load, position, secure and cover general / specific cargo in accordance with civilian and military standards.
Conduct distance / time based operator maintenance on all equipment
Compile civilian and military documentation as required for the conduct of his/her duties.

Additional duties may include where required or qualified:
Operation of tele-handlers and forklifts
Operating various plant and tracked vehicles for the purpose of loading and unloading
Drive long haul, interstate operations.
Skills and experience

Specifically, we are seeking individuals with a range of the following skills and experience:
Current heavy combination licence
Experience utilising plant trailer hydraulic winches
Qualified to transport Australian Dangerous goods and Commonwealth explosives by road
Understanding and strong commitment to safety and WHS requirement
Qualifications and previous experience in the transport of bulk liquids is desirable
A baseline security clearance is preferred
Driver history required for interview.
