Sustaining Tenancies Additional Iwi Partner and Māori Providers Service Provision

⁠⁠⁠Following an open tender process in 2020, Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) established a Panel of 33 members to deliver Sustaining Tenancies (ST) New Zealand wide. HUD has since identified a small amount of funding that can be used to procure additional services in areas with little or no service coverage for whānau Māori tenants.

HUD wants to hear from Iwi partners and Māori providers interested in delivering the Sustaining Tenancies (ST) service in one or more of the following areas:
• East Coast region (Hawkes Bay)
• Bay of Plenty region (Rotorua)
• Bay of Plenty region (Tauranga)
• Bay of Plenty region (Taupō-Tūrangi)
• Taranaki region (Whanganui)
• Taranaki region (rest of Taranaki)
• Waikato region (Hamilton)

We are open to registrations of interest from Iwi partners and Māori providers in areas in other regions, however we note that limited funding is available, and priority will be given to the areas listed above.

The ST service is for individuals, families and whānau tenanted in private or public housing who require support to help sustain their tenancy and address any issues that may continue to put their tenancy at risk
