Tender Description
Auckland Council invites expressions of interest from community groups and organisations interested in occupying a building and /or an area of land at Nicholson Park, 25 Poronui Street Mt Eden. The facility was formerly a bowling club. The greens have an area of approximately 2400m2 and the clubroom building has an area of approximately 230m2. The building and land are located at the southeast corner of Nicholson Park.
There are various options to lease. Groups may wish to apply to occupy both the land and building, or just the building or just the former greens area.
The land and building can be viewed by video by contacting the Senior Community Lease Advisor. Site visits are not available owing to Covid restrictions but will be available once there is a move to level 2.
Groups applying must be:
- an incorporated society or a charitable trust and meet the criteria prescribed in the Auckland Council Community Occupancy Guidelines 2012
- ideally, based and working in the Albert-Eden community
- able to identify positive community outcomes that will occur as a result of the proposed tenancy
- ideally, able to optimise the use of the land
- ideally, able to share the space with other community groups.
Auckland Council reserves the right to seek proposals and applications from other parties in addition to those who respond to this invitation, and at its sole discretion to accept or reject any applications.
Any information provided to the Council will become subject to the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 and may be released by the Council under that Act unless a withholding ground under that Act Applies. Any applicant should state in their application if the whole or any part of the application is to be kept confidential.
