Tender Description
Lockyer Valley Regional Council are seeking quotations for the supply and installation of a new section of water main at the intersection of Market Drive and Freeman Road, Gatton. The intersection has a programmed heavy vehicle upgrade to allow greater manoeuvrability of vehicles in the intersection. The existing water main has insufficient cover to the both the road surface and stormwater drainage components. The works will involve upgrading the Urban Utilities infrastructure with a combination of offline and live works.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council has developed a design in accordance with the current standards which Urban Utilities has endorsed, refer to attached IFA drawings. Lockyer Valley Regional Council will not assist in any further approvals prior to commencement. Materials and installation shall be to current and relevant standards and codes listed in the IFA drawings.
As the project is located within an industrial area, community consultation will be required in the weeks leading up to construction commencing. Lockyer Valley Regional Council will assist in notification to property and businesses. A Traffic Management Plan will need to be developed by the offeror to accommodate all aspect of traffic movements during the works.
