Expressions of Interest – Independent Member of Council Audit Committee

⁠⁠⁠Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably-qualified persons who are motivated to become an Independent Member of Roper Gulf Regional Council’s Audit Committee.

Council has established the Audit Committee pursuant to the Part 5.3 of the Local Government Act 2019 (the Act) to monitor and review the integrity of Council’s financial management, its internal controls, and to make recommendations to Council in accordance with the outcome of its review(s).

Prospective applicants are invited to review the Audit Committee’s Terms of Reference and submit their Expressions of Interest, outlining their qualifications and experience against the responsibilities and requirements of Independent Committee Members prescribed in the Terms of Reference.

People with Local Government experience will be well received.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted with a current resume to the Acting Chief Executive Officer, Roper Gulf Regional Council, PO Box 1321, Katherine NT 0850, or by emailing ceo@ropergulf.nt.gov.au by close of business on Monday, 06 December 2021.
