Tender Description
Wentworth Healthcare, provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network, is seeking to commission an organisation or several organisations to engage a Disaster Recovery Community Development Worker each in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Lithgow LGAs.
These positions will assist bushfire and flood impacted areas in the next stage of their recovery journey to become self-supporting and sustaining by increasing the capacity of the community to mobilise, organise and develop ongoing sustainable networks, and identify and train potential leaders that support the community during times of disasters.
The aim of the role is to build a more resilient community that is capable of self-support through the accumulated trauma of recent multiple disasters and in preparation for inevitable future disasters.
Please note only organisations that currently provide disaster recovery services related to bushfires and floods in the Nepean Blue Mountains region are eligible to apply.
