Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) seeks submissions from suitably experienced and qualified building contractors to carry out the construction of the Tourism and Storage Facility (TSF) Building as part of the Shute Harbour Redevelopment.

The anticipated completion date for this project is the 31st March 2021.
The construction of the TSF Building will be undertaken on an operational facility (the main terminal building and carpark will be in operation), and the successful Contractor will be engaged as the “Person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU)” and given possession of site of a demarcated area within the Shute Harbour footprint (refer to Appendix B – Site Set Down and Demarcated Area).
As the PCBU the Contractor will assume and maintain all the responsibilities and duties within and around this site throughout the construction period, as per the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations 2011.
