Tender Description

The Australian National University is seeking to procure and implement a Research Ethics Management System (REMS) to support the business processes associated with managing the human, animal and rDNA ethics application processes which are the responsibility of the ANU Research Services Division (RSD) Ethics Office within the DVCR&I Portfolio. The system will also support the Ethics office to manage the state and territory animal licences and the processes for inspections of animal facilities and facilities for work with genetically modified organisms. All of these are critical to maintaining research operations.

The new system will be required to ensure that the research and ethics processes upholds the legislated requirements in the Australian Code for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes and the ACT Animal Welfare Act 1992, the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2018), and the Gene Technology Act 2000.
