Lake Macquarie is one of the fastest growing cities in the Hunter, and one of the largest cities in New South Wales. Lake Macquarie's population is fast approaching 200,000 and is the Hunters largest city, accounting for 37% of the Lower Hunter population. Lake Macquarie is the fourth most populous city in NSW, and the eighth most populous city in Australia and the population is expected to grow by 60,000 to 70,000 people over the next 25 years, which will create a demand for 36,500 new dwellings.

ABOUT THE REQUEST FOR TENDER
Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking experienced and qualified suppliers to provide park management services for the Belmont Lakeside holiday park.
Belmont Lakeside Holiday Park is a picturesque park surrounded on three sides by Lake Macquarie. The park occupies approximately 3.2 hectares including public open space surrounding the park that has to maintained by the successful park management company. The park has 14 cabins including an industry leading duplex accessible cabin and two dog friendly cabins. For caravanning/camping the park has 75 powered tourist sites with a range of water views, concrete slabs and grass sites. The park also currently has 22 holiday van sites and two home owner/residential sites. Communal facilities include a single central amenities block, a pool, recreation room, playground, camp kitchen, dog wash, two bbq shelters, two fish cleaning benches and a community pathway within the public open space. The park has boomgates in place to manage vehicle movement into/out of the park. Belmont Lakeside is a dog friendly park.
