ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE
Lake Macquarie is one of the fastest growing cities in the Hunter, and one of the largest cities in New South Wales. Lake Macquarie's population is fast approaching 200,000 and is the Hunters largest city, accounting for 37% of the Lower Hunter population. Lake Macquarie is the fourth most populous city in NSW, and the eighth most populous city in Australia and the population is expected to grow by 60,000 to 70,000 people over the next 25 years, which will create a demand for 36,500 new dwellings.

ABOUT THE REQUEST FOR TENDER
Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking experienced and qualified suppliers to provide park management services for the Blacksmiths Beachside holiday park.
Blacksmiths Beachside Holiday Park is located approximately 200 metres from the seasonally patrolled Blacksmiths Beach. The park occupies approximately 3 hectares. The park has 14 cabins including an industry leading two bedroom accessible cabin and three dog friendly cabins, 12 ensuite sites, 67 powered sites and eight unpowered sites. Currently the park also has 32 holiday van sites. Communal facilities include a pool, a playground, two large amenities blocks as well as a small toilet block, a recreation room, camp kitchen, two bbq shelters and a dog wash. The park has boomgates in place and pincode pedestrian gates on the park boundary to assist in managing vehicle movement and pedestrian access to the park. Blacksmiths Beachside is a member of the Family Parks group and is also a dog friendly park.
