⁠⁠⁠ABOUT THE CITY OF LAKE MACQUARIE
Lake Macquarie is one of the fastest growing cities in the Hunter, and one of the largest cities in New South Wales. Lake Macquarie's population is fast approaching 200,000 and is the Hunters largest city, accounting for 37% of the Lower Hunter population. Lake Macquarie is the fourth most populous city in NSW, and the eighth most populous city in Australia and the population is expected to grow by 60,000 to 70,000 people over the next 25 years, which will create a demand for 36,500 new dwellings.

ABOUT THE REQUEST FOR TENDER
Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking experienced and qualified suppliers to provide park management services for the Swansea Lakeside holiday park.
Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park is a large flat park located on approximately 10.8 hectares bordered by the shores of Lake Macquarie, local wetlands and the community boat ramp. The park has 19 cabins including industry leading three bedroom and two bedroom accessible villas, two additional accessible cabins, a three bedroom cabin, 11 two bedroom cabins and three non-ensuited based cabins. Two safari tents are under construction due to be opened in September 2021. In terms of tourist caravan/camping sites the park has four water view ensuite sites, nine standard ensuite sites, 181 powered sites and 38 unpowered sites. There are also 123 holiday van sites and nine home owner/residential sites. Communal facilities include three large amenities blocks, a recreational room, camp kitchen, four bbq shelters, a resort style pool, playground, tennis court, putt putt golf course and a basketball half court. Boomgates are in place at the park entrance with lockable vehicle and pedestrian gates located on the lakefront foreshore area to assist in security within the park.
