Tender Description
Council is seeking a suitably qualified consultant to provide waste management, traffic design and urban design advice in developing service standards and development controls relating to on-site collection of waste and recycling from Residential Flat Buildings (RFBs) and Mixed-Use buildings.
The study is to focus on several issues, including:
- Operational waste servicing;
- Financial costings for different sized waste collection vehicles;
- Strategic planning;
- Urban design; and
- Environmental impacts.
Council seeks to understand these issues and ways they can be addressed to achieve best practice in relation to on-site collection for different sized developments. Council would also like to understand how best to manage the complexities relating to on-site collection while managing adverse impacts on road, traffic, safety and the amenity of the area.
