Tender Description

This EoI is for the supply of electricity and Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs) under a long-term agreement(s) with an electricity retailer(s). Supply must be backed by a utility scale wind and/or solar asset located in Queensland (i.e. a retailer intermediated, supply-linked renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) also referred to as the Agreement or Renewable Electricity Supply Agreement (RESA) hereafter).

As part of this Agreement, LCC is looking to meet the Electricity Requirements for their Large Market site and street lighting, and potentially Small Market sites, along with:
- meeting its carbon neutrality target through the use of renewable electricity
- reducing its electricity and environmental compliance cost over the term of the Agreement, whilst managing significant changes in its electricity portfolio in order to accommodate population growth and operational changes in wastewater treatment plants
- gaining a notional linkage to a specific Project/s
- demonstrating public leadership
- supporting local and social initiatives

The primary objective of the EOI is to gain a better understanding of the current renewable electricity market in Queensland and the potential for Council to utilise a Power Purchase Agreement to deliver Council's electricity requirements using renewable generators.
All proposals where the generator is located within Queensland will be considered but preference will given to recently completed or new generation projects located within the Southern Queensland Renewable Energy Zone.

Proposals that can provide additional financial, social, and/or environmental benefits within the boundaries of Logan City as well as within the region of the power generation projects while also addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals will be viewed favourably.

As a result of this Invitation, a Respondent may:
a) be shortlisted to participate in the next stage of the procurement process for a Power Purchase Agreement
b) not be shortlisted at all.

ENQUIRIES:
Any questions and responses shall be collated, documented and distributed to all Respondents to ensure equity and fairness.
Furthermore, all enquiries in relation to this EOI must be submitted via the online forum.
