Tender Description
The newly renovated Whitsunday Coast Airport Terminal ‘the Airport’ includes the following facilities, tailored to accommodate and service a full-service Restaurant/ Bar/ Taphouse and Café outlet ‘the Facility’:
a) 26.5m2 Restaurant and Bar Counter.
b) 20.5m2 Café Counter.
c) Kitchen preparation/ Hot pass/ Plating pass/ Dry Store/ Washup area of 48m2.
d) Cold-room and Freezer area of 11.2m2.
e) Bin room of 3.7m2.
f) Dining/ liquor consumption area spreading throughout the Departure Lounge (Common Dining Area).
g) Passenger movements are estimated at well in excess of 500,000 pax annually, forecasted to grow annually.
h) The Airport is well serviced with ample car parking, a public bus service and taxis allowing for easy access for passengers.
Council requires suitably experienced Restaurant, Bar, Off Premise Lessee/Operator to occupy the Facility providing an exclusive food & beverage and retail venue.
Council may seek to award a lease over the whole of part of the Facility to one or more lessee’s. For clarity two leases may be, one over the kitchen, restaurant/bar and the second over the café.
The Lease will include a 12.5% Council profit share split.
