Swansea Bridge Caretaking & Operation

⁠⁠⁠Tenders are invited for the caretaking, operation and management of the opening of lift spans for the Swansea Bridges over entrance to Lake Macquarie.

The scope of work includes provision of a caretaker or their nominated assistant. The contract involves the following duties:

• Operation of the lift span mechanisms for the passage of marine traffic. This may be required at any hour of the day or night but usually in daylight hours, seven days per week, or for testing purposes.
• Performing regular checks on equipment.
• Compiling site records.
• Cleaning.
• Maintaining security of the plant rooms, control rooms and amenities block.

A web based pre-tender meeting will be held at 10am on Wednesday 15 September 2021 at via Microsoft Teams. Attendance to this pre-tender meeting is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender.

Site meetings can be arranged following the pre-tender meeting. There will be limitations due to COVID restrictions. Details will be available at the pre-tender meeting.
