CCDHB intends to procure three initiatives as one contractor procurement package. These are
1. Trades Road Upgrade
2. Mobility Access Footpath
3. Bike Parking Facility
All of these projects are located at Kenepuru Community Hospital. The projects are required to be completed no later than within 6 months of the Project Award and Contract Signing. CCDHB will coordinate with the team at Kenepuru hospital regarding any road closures during the duration of the work. Preplanning and arrangement will be required where the works will be impacting clinical services. CCDHB will coordinate with the clinical teams to ensure the works are completed without delay and without impacting clinical services.

Scope:
1. Trades Road Upgrade:
Repair of the Trades Road (Approximate length of Road 0.65 KM) and construction of a turning bay and nib kerb. This work includes the milling out of existing asphalt, waterproof chip seal layer, road resurfacing, raising manholes where required, redoing the road markings and repair/ replacement of damaged kerbs and channels.
2. Mobility Access Project:
Construction of a new 2400 MM wide footpath for pedestrian and mobility scooters or wheelchair access. The work includes the raising of manholes, installation of pedestrian crossing and the installation of automatic doors inside the hospital.
3. Bike Parking Facility
Construction of a concrete pad/ foundation, path and the installation of a manufactured bike parking facility. CDDHB has procured the shelter and bike racks and all the relevant information will be provided with the tender documents.
