SA-H2H is seeking non-binding EOIs from Members and Non-Members to collaborate in an industry lead, South Australian wide feasibility study of implementing a hydrogen refuelling network by 2025.
The feasibility study will be building on the pre-feasibility strategy work already progressed by SA-H2H, which includes contributions from the SA-H2H Mobility Hub Strategy Working Group, other Members of SA-H2H, the South Australian Government Department of Energy and Mining (DEM) and CSIRO.
The intent would be collaboration in the form of a consortium (or similar, TBA) (the "Group"), to progress the feasibility work scope to determine the feasibility of the proposed refuelling network. SA-H2H will manage coordination of the Group and directly contribute other resources as appropriate to the management of the agreed feasibility work scope. Participants may individually need to contribute cash and/or in kind toward their share of the agreed feasibility work scope.
In Q4 CY2021, the Group will be applying to seek gross matching government grant funding for the agreed feasibility work scope. The exact government grant application timing and process is yet to be finalised but will likely include considering if ARENA's Industrial Energy Transformation Studies Program is appropriate. The structure of the grant application, the engagement of service providers and proportions of cash and in-kind contributions by participants will be finalised in parallel through this timeframe. Binding documentation will be entered into between all relevant parties at or prior to any grant application being lodged, where binding commitments by participants may include being subject to a successful grant application outcome.
