Design of Kerb, Gutter and Footpath for Lighting Ridge and Collarenebri

⁠⁠⁠Walgett shire Council (WSC) is in the Western Region of NSW. It is bounded to the North by Queensland Border and to the East by Moree plains and Narrabri Shire Council, in the south by Coonamble and Warren Shire and to the West by Brewarrina Shire. The shire has an area of approximately 22000 sq.km. The Shire has 2716 km of road network which comprises State, Regional and Local roads.
Council is seeking designers to prepare plans for the construction of:

• Kerb and gutter and footpath in Herbert Street Collarenebri between High Street and Narran Street and from Narran Street east to opposite the Collarenebri Swimming Complex on the southern side; and
• Kerb and gutter in Agate Street between Morilla Street and Kaolin Street and in Kaolin Street between Onyx Street and Agate Street continuing to Opal Street. Footpath, 2.5m wide is also required to be design in association with the kerb and gutter on the western side of Agate Street and on the southern side of Kaolin Street.

Walgett Shire Council invites the submission of quotation from suitably qualified and experienced designers in accordance with the Conditions of Tendering and specifications contained in this document.

It is expected that the construction works will be staged for both project with:
Herbert Street being constructed between High Street and Narran Street in 2021/21 and subject to available funds the section between Narran Street and the Collarenebri Swimming Complex being completed at a later date.

The western side of Agate Street which includes the footpath and kerb and gutter will be constructed in 2021/22 along with the southern side of Kaolin Street between Agate Street and Onyx Street. It is expected that the remainder will be completed in 2022/23.

Site inspection and Briefing Meeting
No compulsory pre-tender site inspection and briefing will be held. Tenderers require no special permission to visit the sites. Locally plans of both projects are included in Appendix A along with sketch plans of the Lightning Ridge project.
