⁠⁠⁠Short-Term Emergency Placements (STEP) is a Department of Communities and Justice initiative to contract accredited residential care providers in a panel deed arrangement to deliver individualised residential emergency placements for children and young people in statutory out-of-home care with high and complex needs.
