We are commissioning local artwork for our Geraldton Step Up Step Down site that reflects the health and wellbeing of the Midwest community.
With a theme of "Our Midwest" we have a broad brief that we hope will result in hopeful and positive artworks that will be on display in our Step Up Step Down (SUSD) service in Geraldton.
Our 2 stage selection process starts with an Expression Of Interest (EOI) that is open to all artists with a connection to the Midwest. Following this stage, a limited number of artists will be contacted to develop a specific proposal, based upon their practice, from which the final selection will be made. During this stage, details on the site of the work and budget, will be made available.
We are keen to hear from a broad range of artists as potential artwork may include paintings/drawings, murals, sculpture, digital works or other practices which can be either internal or external.

Your EOI should include:
· Artist CV;
· Images of previous work and practice (up to 10);
· Short statement on your connection to Geraldton and the Midwest and any experience you have had (artistic or otherwise) with health and wellbeing. This statement should be no longer than 250 words.

EOIs will be assessed by a panel chaired by the Geraldton SUSD Service Manager and comprising SUSD staff and consumers.

Artists selected for the next stage will be notified 2 weeks later.
