THE ORGANISATION

Western Power is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation which is responsible for building, maintaining and operating an electricity network which connects over 1.1 million customers to traditional and renewable energy sources throughout the South West Interconnected Network (SWIN).

BACKGROUND

Western Power operates two main types of MV underground distribution cables in the electricity distribution network, including XLPE triplex/single core cables and PILCSWA 3 core cables rated at 11kV, 22kV or 33kV.

THE SCOPE

Western Power is seeking registrations of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies capable of supplying and delivering:

• MV distribution cable accessories suitable for XLPE triplex/single core cables and PILCSWA 3 core cables rated for 11kV, 22kV and 33kV for the underground MV distribution

STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT

The MV distribution power cable accessories consist of:

• Joints (straight, breech, tee-off);
• Terminations (indoor, outdoor);
• Separable Connectors (elbow, plug, receptacle); and
• Live End Seals.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

1. Register your Interest by an email entitled “MV Cable Accessories – Registration of Interest” to eric.gordon@westernpower.com.au with a return email address and contact telephone number.
2. A Registration of Interest Questionnaire will be forwarded to for completion and return by email to eric.gordon@westernpower.com.au.
3. To be considered for inclusion in a Request for Proposal, please register your interest and return the completed Registration of Interest Questionnaire by 5pm (AWST) Friday, 27 August 2021.
