Rural Roadside Slashing for Fire Mitigation

⁠⁠⁠Alexandrina Council (ABN 20 785 405 351) of PO Box 21 or 11 Cadell St, Goolwa, SA, 5214 (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Rural Roadside Slashing for Fire Mitigation within the Alexandrina Council area. (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.

Alexandrina Council covers an area of 182 684 hectares. Council has a responsibility to ensure the verge areas are suitably maintained, in particular during the fire danger season to reduce the risk of fire to the community. There is approximately 750km of sealed roads and 760kms of unsealed roads. It is expected that the areas to be serviced within this tender equate to approximately 450km of sealed and unsealed roads:

• The aim is to provide all road users of the Alexandrina Council road network a safe passage. The objective of this contract is to control and maintain roadside vegetation along our road network to reduce bushfire risk and ensure safe passage.
• To minimise the risk of fire on roadsides;
• This will be an exclusive contract to deliver the services.

The term of the contract will be 5 months with no extension
