The purpose of this request is to assist Council in the sustainable management of Timber & Wood Waste delivered to the Council’s Resource Recovery & Waste Management Facilities by residents and contractors from within the Blue Mountains LGA
We are seeking proposals that deal with the beneficial processing / recycling of all timber and wood wastes delivered to council’s Resource Recovery & Waste Management Facilities(RR&WMF). This service will be operated out of Blaxland RR&WMF.
Proposals are being sought which provide Council with service functions of both:
a) Removal and Transport of Timber and Wood Waste from Blaxland RR&WMF and,
b) Processing of Timber and Wood Waste in an environmentally advantageous manner, and in particular to increase diversion from landfill rate.
However, Council will accept proposals where a lead contractor engaged with council utilises a sub-contract for the performance of one of the two service functions. The lead contractor will be responsible for the performance of sub-contracted works in accordance with the attached contract terms and conditions.
