Tender Description
The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (“the Department”) invites organisations who are accredited under the Painting Contractors Certification Program (PCCP) and qualified to National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) level 2 (or equivalent Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA)) (“Tenderers”) to submit Tenders for this project.
The Department has identified that the deterioration of the Old Murray Bridge is such that it is adversely affecting the structural integrity and will require a reduction of the load limits unless rectified. The State Government is funding the refurbishment of the bridge inclusion recoating of the steel structure.This Request for Tender seeks to secure the services of a Third Party Paint Verifier to support the project team in the development of the main contract painting tender documents and ultimately provide third party verification services for the structural coating works to be completed by other contractors.
ACCREDITATION REQUIREMENTS
Companies tendering will need to be:
- accredited under the Painting Contractors Certification Program (PCCP) to a minimum of class 5; and
- qualified to National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) level 2, or equivalent Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA), as a minimum.
