Tender Description

Horizon Power advises that the HP02067 Carnarvon Depot Refurbishment and Storage Upgrade Works Request for Tender (RFT) is due to be released to market in August 2021.

As part of the Horizon Power Carnarvon Depot Refurbishment Project this RFT will seek a contractor to deliver;

  1. the refurbishment at the Carnarvon depot; and/or
  2. construction works at the depot storage yard;

The RFT will allow the respondent to submit a response for either or both sections.

These works have been funded by the WA Governments Recovery Plan, Horizon Power’s program of works under this plan is called Renew the Regions. The intent of Renew the Regions is to provide economic stimulus in the regions, for this RFT where possible the successful contractor is encouraged to source, partner or subcontract to local businesses and suppliers to complete the requirements of the Works. The scope of works will include:

  1. Plan and execution of a partial demolition of the existing Horizon Power administration building located on the corner of Robinson Street and IIes Road, Carnarvon
  2. Construction, refurbishment and extension of the existing administration building at the existing site, based on detailed construction and design documentation, provided by Horizon Power and its representatives.
  3. Construction of a new logistics shed in the laydown yard of the depot, based on detailed construction and design documentation, provided by Horizon Power and its representatives.
  4. The construction will entail for both the administration building and logistics shed:
  • Environmental management
  • Concrete, earthworks and other civil works
  • Structural steel and metal work
  • Roofing and wall cladding
  • Wall and ceiling linings
  • Floor and wall finishes
  • Glass partitions, windows and doors
  • Joinery and fixtures
  • Painting
  • Plumbing, drainage and sewage works
  • Electrical and mechanical installations
  • Communication system
  • Security and IT cabling
  • Fire detection system
  • External Works (various)

        5.The refurbished administration building design will include key features:

  • New customer reception area
  • General administration office area
  • Operations room
  • Board room
  • Multiple meeting rooms
  • IT and Communications / Server room
  • Male, Female and Disabled Bathrooms
  • Kitchen and outdoor area
  • Multiple storage rooms
  • Operations room
  • Redesigned car park
  • Signage

        6. The new logistics shed will include key features:

  • Small administration office
  • Small bathroom and kitchen
  • Storage rooms
  • Racking and storage area
  • Civil works and bitumen of a proportion of the existing laydown area.
