Airport Security Fence

Bulloo Shire Council is requesting Tenders from suitably qualified Contractors to supply and install a 2.3km 6ft exclusion barrier fence within the Airport compound.

The proposed work’s term of Contract is for 3-month period, commencing on the 1st September 2021, works to be completed by 7th December 2021. However, the Principal reserves the right to extend this Contract at the end of the original Contract period at the sole
discretion of the Principal.

The primary objectives of the Principal inviting the Request for Tender are:

a) To obtain value for money;
b) To ensure open and effective competition; and
c) To ensure timely and efficient supply delivery.

Background Information

The intent of this Contract is to provide the Principal with access to a suitably qualified Contractor for tyre services.

The Principals is governed by the Local Government Act 2012 (QLD), with numerous regulatory responsibilities devolved to it by the State Government.

All information provided or specified to the Tenderers may be subject to change. However, all effort has been made to provide indicative quantities. Variables affecting quantities include, but are not limited to, material quantity, material quality, project location, third party
interest and budget. This information is supplied in good faith and without prejudice.

Type of Contract

This Request for Tender will be a SCHEDULE OF RATES Contract. All fees and charges necessary for the successful completion of the works shall be deemed to be included in the prices and rates as detailed in Part 3. This includes all costs associated with the administrative
management and full site supervision necessary for the successful Tenderer to fulfil all their obligations including, but not limited to, those referenced as well as any other matters.

Prices and rates are to be inclusive of GST.

The Principal requires the successful Tenderer to supply and install a 2.3km 6ft exclusion barrier fence within the Airport compound as per this Specification.

a) Site clearing and preparation for construction of fence
b) Fence supply & installation
i. 6ft chain mesh anti-climb decurity fence similar to image 1
c) Site clean up

Work Specifications

Where materials, material components, workmanship and procedures are not specifically described by the Contract, they shall be in accordance with the relevant Australian Standard.

Where no Australian Standard is available, other standards shall be used in the following order of priority:

a) The contract standard of the local government where work is being undertaken;
b) Manufacturer’s recommendations; and
c) Accepted industry standards.

At a minimum, materials and workmanship shall be the best of their respective kinds and fit for the purpose for which they are intended.
