The City's current residential and commercial waste collections are spread unevenly within the local government, resulting in confusion on collection days for both the community and City staff and uneven workloads throughout the week. Placing additional pressure on collection staff on certain days.

The City currently has a two bin collection and disposal service for general waste and recycling. By 2025, the City will be implementing a three bin service through the introduction of a Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) bin to its residents. Through this quotation process the City would like to determine if it is possible, with the optimisation of vehicle collections and routes, the new FOGO service can be incorporated into the City's schedules using existing resources.
