ABOUT THE TENDER: Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) proposes to construct four sub-artesian water production bores at strategic locations in the GSC local government area (LGA) to supply water for the community (the Project). The initial period of operation of the proposed bores will be dedicated to provision of construction water for the Australian Rail Track Corporation's (ARTC) Inland Rail project.
The Project involves borehole drilling and accurate geological sampling and logging, the generation of geophysical logs to identify water yielding strata and the requirement to undertake pump tests at the completed bores to determine aquifer properties. The bore design involves casing and grouting of the shallower aquifer to limit potential drawdown impacts at the locations of existing licensed groundwater works.
