Lease / Licence of Smithtown Medical Centre

⁠⁠⁠Kempsey Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from commercial businesses, community groups; and not-for-profit organisations; to lease/licence the Smithtown Medical Centre in Smithtown, NSW.

The Lessee/Licensee will enter into a lease/licence with Council for use of the facility; pay a set annual rental fee; and provide annual reporting to Council, including financial statements.

The arrangement is expected to take the form of either a lease (granting exclusive possession of the premises in return for payment of rent) or a license (granting a contractual right to occupy the premises in return for payment of a licence fee).

Council may also consider alternative proposals to a lease/licence by parties who express interest in providing services to the facility that contribute to its successful management and operation.
