This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Department is looking for Project Support Officers to provide diverse administrative and IT related project support tasks to specified projects aimed at modernizing the Department's IT landscape.
The successful candidate will:
a. Work with the project teams to administer and coordinate a range of activities and act as a point of contact for stakeholders to ensure clear timely and effective communication and coordination.
b. Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals, team members and stakeholders.
c. Assist in the production of project status reports and artefacts throughout the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria.
d. Identify and manage changes to projects in accordance with established processes and standards and manage information flows across projects.
e. Assist in the planning and delivery of projects using the department's project management frameworks and product development approaches e.g. Prince2, MSP and Agile.
f. Provide Secretariat support for Working Groups and Steering Committees.
g. Facilitate the successful adoption of project deliverables by business areas
h. Administration requests for project setup, roles and access; and
i. Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the Project Manager.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
a. Experience working in large, complex ICT projects.
b. Experience working with Federal Government ICT initiatives.
c. Experience in managing project schedules, budgets, reporting requirements and delivery of project artefacts; and
d. Working knowledge and understanding of SAFe/Agile practices and the ability to apply agile concepts to service delivery
e. Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers
f. Transparent and collaborative when making decisions
g. Understanding of the best practice ICT delivery, including Agile and Lean thinking
h. Capability in the management of multiple priorities and tasks as delegated; and
i. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse personality types
