Tender Description
Mount Barker District Council invites Tenders from Tenderers for the provision of Roadside, Open Space and Fire Prevention Slashing and Brush Cutting Program services 2021/2024 (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for the Purchase of Services with the successful Tenderer.
The scope of the works is the seasonal mechanical control of grasses and weeds on roadsides and open spaces as per the specifications for the MBDC Roadside Slashing and Fire Prevention Program.
Works are broken into the following 4 areas
• Annual Rural Roadside slashing Northern Zones
• Annual Rural Roadside slashing Southern Zones
• Hourly / daily brush cutting activities for Reserves, Fire Prevention and 105F Notice compliance.
• Hourly / daily Slashing activities for Reserves, Fire Prevention and 105F Notice compliance.
Mechanical weed control is undertaken for traffic and community safety and fire prevention purposes within the district.
Rural Roadside slashing requires a single pass over the district annually within a 2 month period in line with the Fire Danger Season start dates.
Hourly / daily brush cutting and slashing services are on an as required basis as the need arises for environmental weed management and fire prevention activities.
