Tender Description
Whanganui District Council (WDC) requests proposals from a planning firm to provide professional planning services to WDC as a funded partner of Te Puwaha (formerly Whanganui Port Revitalisation Project).
The successful applicant will be able to provide:
- Advice and input in the formation of project actions.
- Preparing, submitting applications and successfully obtaining consents for all works associated with the rebuilding of the wharf and marine infrastructure at the Port of Whanganui (including but not limited to new wharves, marine structures, discharge permits and dredging).
- In obtaining all and any necessary consents, it is required that conditions of such consents be reviewed and negotiated to ensure responsibility for action is clear, and that the outcomes of the overall project are achieved in a cohesive manner.
- Advice and input for the tangata whenua voice within this project and ways in which this connects to the required legal and planning obligations of the project.
