The Principal is looking to establish a diverse panel of capable suppliers and manufacturers that both supply products across multiple categories and those that specialise in one category or subcategory.

The Principal will support the Queensland Government’s objectives and priorities, such as small businesses and local manufacturing when establishing this PSP.

The Queensland Government vision is for a resilient, and inclusive Queensland, with thriving regional economies and an innovative manufacturing sector. The Queensland Government’s regional manufacturing strategic direction is available online.

The Queensland Government, through the Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP), aims to increase government procurement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and genuine, quality Social Enterprises, providing award based wages either directly or through the supply chain of other companies.

The scope of the PSP includes the following categories (refer to PSA Details, Schedule 1 for full details):

• Corporate wear – uniforms
• Casual/field - operational wear
• Industrial/high visibility/trade wear
• Personal protective wear (PPW) – body
• Protective and safety equipment (PPE) – clinical and non-clinical
• Protective and safety equipment (PPE) – workplace.

Suppliers are encouraged to nominate any value adds they can provide in the supply of the above categories, including but not limited to repair, embroidery, tailoring, disposal, reuse and recycle services.

Suppliers can:

• nominate for one or more sub-category
• nominate one or more single item in a subcategory
• nominate value adds

The following is out-of-scope for this ITA:

• School uniforms
• Nurses uniforms
• Medical clinical consumables
• Weapons grade personal protective equipment
• Road and traffic management equipment.
