Tender Description
The purpose of this open REOI is to call for expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably experienced civil engineering contractors with experience in dam safety remedial works.
This project is to upgrade the existing Linton Park detention dam. It is intended to be undertaken through the emergency provisions of the RMA (authorisations are currently being worked through).
During the geotechnical investigations as part of the overall stormwater feasibility studies (to provide enabling stormwater infrastructure for the Pukehangi Plan Change area), it was confirmed that the current dam does not comply with current dam design safety standards. It is now therefore incumbent for RLC to undertake upgrade work asap (ie during the 2021/2022) summer construction season.
The intention is to have a Contractor on board as early as possible and be involved in the detailed design with work on site starting as early as October/November 2021.
Without limiting the possible outcomes of this REOI process, the intended purpose of this REOI is to determine a single preferred Contractor for participation in a subsequent Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process.
