Provision of Eye Health Services

⁠⁠⁠Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service are seeking Proposals for Optometry and Ophthalmology services.

Our Hospital and health service consist of 31 Primary Health Care Centres, 2 hospitals (Thursday Island and Bamaga), a multi-purpose health service (Cooktown) and an integrated health service (Weipa). Collectively we have 800 employees and support a wide range of healthcare providers, including outreach teams and visiting specialist services from other health services and non-government providers.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate Optometry and Ophthalmology team to deliver a comprehensive eye health program that will serve the communities within the Southern Sector, including:

1. Cooktown cluster - including Hopevale, Wujal Wujal & Laura
2. Kowanyama
3. Pormpuraaw
4. Lockhart River
5. Coen
6. Weipa cluster – including, Mapoon, Napranum and Aurukun.
