Operation of Mareeba Shire Council Animal Facility, Refuge, Impounding and Boarding

⁠⁠⁠Mareeba Shire Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified Respondents for the operation of the Mareeba Shire Council Animal Facility, facilitating the Shire's Animal Refuge, Animal Impounding and Boarding Kennels - 35 Hickling Ave Mareeba

A suitably experienced and qualified Respondent will enter into a tenure agreement/contract with Mareeba Shire Council upon the completion of construction of the new animal facility. It is anticipated to commence on or about 6 September 2021 with a proposed term being five years from the date of document execution.

Expression of Interest must include:

1 Type of Commercial or Non-Commercial venture to be operated;
2 Proposed services and operations to be carried out by the applicant for the care of both impounded animals and rehomed animals;
3 A description of the proposed operation of the facility. Detailing, rehoming and/or boarding operations;
4 The applicant must allow a minimum of four (4) designated dog kennels for rehoming purposes only; and
5 The applicant must allow a minimum of four (4) designated cat cages for rehoming purposes only;
