Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Hort Innovation is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $15.1 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $120 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefit to industry and the wider community.

Hort Innovation is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and capable delivery partner for the project: Epidemiology and management of Fusarium basal rot in onions (VN20006).

The objectives of the services being sought are to:
• Understand current IPM practices that are used and favoured among onion growers for managing Fusarium basal rot
• Address the gaps in knowledge of the disease cycle and pathogen biology of Fusarium basal rot to inform improved disease control and adoption of the best management practices
• Identify chemical, biological and cultural control options to fit into an IPM program that can be further considered by Hort Innovation and industry
• Collaborate with existing and past projects and networks to communicate and extend new knowledge and practices from the project that will maximise adoption and commercial benefit across the onion industry.

Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process and the information required from interested parties.
