Excess Audio Collection Items

⁠⁠⁠The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) invites Tender Responses from collection and preservation institutions, artists and collectors, industry and private sector figures, and members of the public for the acquisition and removal of excess audio collection items in accordance with NFSA Request For Tender (RFT) 2021/P242.

There are three (3) large recorded sound collections currently stored within 77 pallets at the NFSA Mitchell Warehouse (ACT): the International Main Run (Shellac Records); the Mastertouch Collection (Piano Rolls); and the International Cylinder Run (Blue Amberol Cylinders).

The NFSA are now conducting an open market approach to accept Tender Responses and associated offers from interested individuals and entities for the acquisition and removal of the excess audio collection items on a per pallet basis, up to a total of 77 pallets
