Norwood Oval Irrigation System Upgrade Construction Works REOI

⁠⁠⁠The Council is seeking expressions of interest for the supply, installation and setup of a new automatic irrigation system at Norwood Oval.

The site works are to be scheduled to commence on Monday 20 September 2021 (i.e. following the conclusion of the 2021 SANFL season). Site works are to be scheduled such that practical completion is to be conducted prior to 24 December 2021 (i.e. prior to the commencement of the 2022 AFLW season). It is imperative that the Contractor engaged to undertake the Services possesses the experience and capability of completing the Services within the specified timeframe and to the required high standard to ensure that the 2022 AFLW season is not adversely affected.

The new system will require that the Contractor has a proven track record of the highest quality of installation workmanship and the ability to follow drawings and technical specifications that may vary from normal practice. The Contractor will need to have previous experience with the installation, database population and initial scheduling of current versions of decoder control systems and interfacing of controllers with mobile devices, pump stations, input sensors and remote PCs. The Contractor will be required to have a licenced plumber on-site and actively involved with the installation works for the duration of the installation process.

The Contractor must have the workforce and equipment required to complete the works within the specified time window. The Council is seeking the services of a specialist commercial irrigation contracting company that can provide the highest level installation.

After assessment of the REOI submissions, a short list of Registrants will be invited to the Select Tender stage, wherein design drawings and technical specifications will be provided.
