CASA 20/186 – 1 x Automation Specialist

Reporting to the Section Manager Digital Solutions the specified personnel must undertake the following tasks:
a) Further define, develop and document the existing automation technologies to enhance CASA’s Automated build, test and deployment capabilities.
b) Assist the Application Teams with the development and maintenance of DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
c) Assist the Operational Teams with the configuration and management of deployment environments in a repeatable and reliable manner.
d) Participate in CASA’s cloud migration work, support and further develop Azure pipelines for the ESB platform and Web Apps.
e) Identify further opportunities for automation within the software delivery process to improve and streamline service delivery.
f) Working co-operatively and collaboratively with the ITB Teams, providing technical advice and support as required.
g) Effective handover of automation activities to internal CASA staff.
h) Promote workplace safety, equity and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace and acting in accordance with CASA values and behaviours.

Mandatory
a) Extensive experience in developing automated build and deployment pipelines using YAML, ARM Templates and PowerShell.
b) Experience in development of Ansible automation playbooks for both Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
c) Experience with Microsoft Azure Platform and Technologies, Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualisation and System Centre Virtual Machine Manager tool.
d) Experience with or knowledge of container management and orchestration tools.
e) Communicates with influence, demonstrated technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people.
