Tender Description
Juken New Zealand Ltd manages 11,500ha of Radiata pine forest in the Wairarapa region with certification under ISO:14001 and FSC. JNL Wairarapa is currently looking for Expressions of Interest from Thinning Contractors to help meet our thinning requirements in the future, starting immediately for the right contractor.
The operations required are as below:
First Thin, down to 700 sph for pruned stands. Approximately 450 ha.
Second Thin, down to 350 sph for pruned stands. Approximately 290 ha.
Stands are planted at 1,000-1,200 s/ha. Forestry operations are located 30-45 minutes from Masterton.
We invite Expressions of Interest for the above operations. Given JNL’s commitment to health and safety in the workplace and the environment, potential contractors will be evaluated on their health and safety record and systems, relevant experience and available resources such as equipment and personnel. Please respond with your crew details, such as numbers and training history, and relevant experience along with any relevant references.
The right crew will receive competitive rates, along with consistent thinning work outside the fire season.
