Coogee Beach Jetty Access Ramp

⁠⁠⁠The City of Cockburn (The Principal) is seeking a suitably qualified, licensed and experienced Contractor to Design, Supply and Construction and Installation of an accessible pedestrian ramp to the beach that extends off the existing Coogee Beach Jetty, as per the supplied reference design.

This includes:

• Detailed design and certification of the structure to meet the performance requirements and to the satisfaction of the Principal
• Obtain and comply with a certified building permit and any other permits, licences or approvals that might be required (notwithstanding works supplied by the Principal – refer to the Specification (B01) for details)
• Preparation and implementation of appropriate management plans for the works, including management of public safety
• Fabrication and construction of the new ramp structure, including all piling, framing, decking, hand rails and tying in with and making good of the existing jetty structure as required
• Two (2) years preventative maintenance following completion
• Design & construction of a piled base for the existing surf lifesaving observation tower on Coogee Beach (Separable Portion).

The construction works are to be completed by 19 November 2021

Mandatory Tender Briefing/Site Inspection

Attendance at this meeting is mandatory.

Failure to attend this briefing will render the Tenderer ineligible to submit a Tender.

Tenderers are required to attend a Tender briefing on:

Friday, 7th May 2021 at 10:00 am (AWST).

The location of the meeting is at:

Coogee Beach Jetty – Powell Road, Coogee

The briefing will provide Tenderers with the opportunity to clarify any uncertainties with the Principal prior to the closing of the Tender.
