Over the last 12 years the Ministry of Education have upgraded over 600 fire alarm systems at schools throughout New Zealand. The aim of the program is to replace all old type B class change and obsolete systems with ones complying with current building code requirements and New Zealand Standards. We are now into stage 20 of the program and Ngaruawhaia High School is the next school to qualify under the program.
