Tender Description
This tender is for Contract No. 2020/21/12 for the construction of Piggyback Cell (1) in the Narrabri Waste Management Facility.
The below works are to be undertaken as part of this Contract. This list is not exhaustive and the work scope required under the contract includes other tasks and obligations not necessarily listed below.
- Excavation to design subgrade levels, including excavation of in-situ landfilled waste material and other fill materials
- Haulage of excavated materials to the active landfill cell for disposal
- Construction of an under-liner landfill gas drainage system
- Construction of a geogrid-reinforced bridging layer
- Construction of perimeter bund walls for creation of cell base
- Construction of a composite geosynthetic leachate barrier system including:
- Geosynthetic clay liner (GCL)
- HDPE/LLDPE geomembrane
- Protection geotextile
- Construction of a leachate collection and extraction system including:
- Leachate collection pipework within cell base.
- Leachate extraction riser at the leachate collection sump
- Drainage aggregate layer within cell base
- Separation geotextile layer over the drainage aggregate layer on the cell base
- Geonet drainage geocomposite placed on the cell sidewall
- Protective cover soil layer to the cell sidewall
This is a Quality Assured Contract with method of payment being by Lump Sum. The General Conditions of Contract shall be AS 4000.1997.
The Contract is to be completed within twenty (20) weeks of the acceptance of the tender.
