Tender Description
The Town of Gawler (Council) is undertaking the construction of new cycling connections to deliver a continuous cycle connection from Adelaide to the Barossa Valley. The Greater Adelaide Cycle Way will connect two regional cycle paths, the Barossa Trail and the Stuart O’Grady trail, and the existing shared path network capitalising on both the ToG and the Barossa Council’s significant investment in cycling infrastructure.
Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualified organisation to develop a detailed design for this project that incorporates:
- Design and locations of wayfinding signage, water fountains, bicycle rails, street furniture, shelters, and landscaping;
- Design and locations of shared use path ramps;
- Design and locations of “sharrow” linemarking symbols;
- Design and locations of shared path linemarked lines;
- Design and locations of street lighting (replacing existing luminaires to LED);
- Design of passive maze: asphalt track crossing, concrete slabs, maze safety fencing, tactile ground surface indicators, paving and signage at Warren Street, Gawler East;
- Design and locations shared use path: path including excavation of soil, installation of pavement and fencing; and
- Potential design upgrade at Reid Reserve.
